Giving abandoned and surrendered dogs a second chance at a loving home

About Adoption Fees
As a professional dog training and rehabilitation facility rather than a rescue organisation or charity, Howler Pets does not charge adoption fees. Our adoption program is part of our commitment to finding the right homes for dogs in need and ensuring they thrive with their new families.
Our Adoption Philosophy
From time to time, dogs come into our care that have been abandoned or surrendered by their owners. These dogs are not part of our working or therapy dog programs. They are simply dogs in need of a safe, loving home. Through our adoption program, we work to find each of these dogs the right family and a fresh start.
Where possible, we provide these dogs with basic training before they go to their new homes. This gives them a foundation of good behaviour and helps make the transition smoother for both dog and owner. The level of training each dog receives depends on how long they are with us and their individual needs.
What to Expect When Adopting
- Rescued dogs: Our adoptable dogs are abandoned or surrendered dogs that need a second chance, not trained working or therapy dogs.
- Basic training where possible: We provide foundational training during their stay with us, time and circumstances permitting.
- Health checked: Every dog receives a veterinary health check before going to their new home.
- Carefully matched: We take time to understand your lifestyle and home situation to find the right fit for both you and the dog.
- Ongoing support: We remain available after adoption to help with questions, adjustment, and guidance.
